MONI sAYS Yes, For All of Us!

I am running for City Council because I believe deeply in the values Berkeley stands for.          I also believe we can do better at living up to those values. Berkeley is a city that leads. A city that fights for justice, for equity, for the environment, for peace.

Today, too many people in District 1 are asking: who is this city working for?

Is it working for the families who are struggling to stay in their homes,

for seniors worried about being priced out of the neighborhoods they helped build,

for small businesses trying to survive on our commercial corridors,

for young people who love Berkeley—but believe they will never be able to afford to live here?

I am running because the answer should be: YES. For all of us.

COUNCIL DISTRICT 1

Housing Equity

We are committed to ensuring that families in District 1 can stay in the homes they built and love. Our platform includes aggressive rent stabilization and affordable housing development to protect our most vulnerable residents.

Justice, equity, and community-first progress for everyone in District 1.

The Platform

Senior Justice

Our seniors are the backbone of our community. We will fight to keep them in the neighborhoods they helped build, ensuring they are not priced out of the Berkeley they have lived in for decades.

Small Business

We are dedicated to the survival of our local economy. By supporting small businesses on our commercial corridors, we ensure that the city's vitality remains in the hands of the people who live here.

Rooted in Berkeley

For over a decade, I have lived and worked in the heart of District 1. My history in Berkeley is defined by a commitment to justice and equity. I have spent my career fighting for the families who are struggling to stay in their homes, for seniors worried about being priced out of the neighborhoods they helped build, and for small businesses trying to survive on our commercial corridors. I am running because the answer should be: YES. For all of us.
